We hope this letter finds you well. As one of our valued patients, we want to keep you informed about upcoming changes in the way we will handle out-of-network insurance billing and payment collection in our office. These updates are made after careful evaluation of our business insurance model and for the health of the business, so we can continue serving you with the highest quality of care.

Starting January 1, 2025, Perfectly Aligned will adhere to established industry standards for your out-of-network insurance processing and collections.

What This Means:

  1. Payments: Moving forward, you will be responsible for paying your out-of-network deductible at the time of service.* After your deductible is met, you will pay your co-insurance and any non-covered services, as usual.

  2. Claims Processing: While the billing process is changing, our office will continue to submit insurance claims on your behalf for your visits that include chiropractic adjustments.

  3. Transparency: We want to make this transition as clear and seamless as possible. Our team is here to help you understand the changes, clarify rates, and answer any questions you may have along the way.

We contract with a managed billing service that charges us based on the total value of collectible receipts, which is standard in our industry. Previously, we absorbed a portion of this billing service fee to save our patients money by not collecting deductibles upfront. However, it is no longer feasible to cover these costs. Therefore, we will collect the deductible amount upfront, per visit, until it is met, as most other medical offices do.

By implementing these simple changes we can streamline our administrative processes and reduce billing complexities on the back end. In turn, we can dedicate more time and resources to what matters most: providing you with exceptional, personalized care. As we continue to grow and expand holistic wellness services at PERFECTLY ALIGNED, adhering to this industry standard will make the most sense for staff, practitioners and patients, alike.

We understand these changes may raise some questions.  If you have any concerns or would like to discuss how this may affect you, please contact our office by phone, text or email.

Thank you for being such an important part of our chiropractic family. We truly appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your wellness team, and we look forward to continuing to support you with the same care and dedication you’ve come to expect from us.

Warm regards,

SCOTT NISSENBAUM & THE TEAM AT PERFECTLY ALIGNED CHIROPRACTIC
