Healing with Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM)

Frequency Specific Microcurrent is a new application of an old healing technology. It is painless and has no side effects, just the benefits of healing. The FSM medical device is designed to deliver two different microcurrentS (milliamps) through the patient’s body at two different specific frequencies. These currents are called the A channel and the B channel. The A channel affects function in the body, such as inflammation. The B channel affects a specific tissue in the body, such as a muscle or a tendon. Together, they function synergetically to benefit the targeted tissue.

The use of frequency specific microcurrent in medicine has grown widely in recent years. It is recognized as a valuable tool in professional sports, the military and other professions, where rate of physical recovery is important. Three areas where frequency specific microcurrent is uniquely effective are wound healing, scar tissue removal and concussion recovery.

The wound healing capacities of FSM have been recognized by professional sports and the military. There are specific combinations of frequencies called programs that are used to accelerate the healing of wounds and accelerate healing after operations. Terrell Owens (professional football player) famously credited Carolyn McMakin, founder of Frequency Specific Microcurrent, in his Hall of Fame induction speech. In 2004, playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, he suffered a devastating injury to his lower leg six weeks before he was to compete in the Super Bowl. Post Operation he received FSM treatments daily from Carolyn until the day of the Super Bowl. He was able to play at a 100% capacity in the Super Bowl and enjoy a long career.

The following is a description of the use of FSM in the military, “In elite military groups like SEAL teams, recovery tools that can speed healing and improve physical readiness are valued due to the high physical and mental demands of their operations. FSM is reported to support faster recovery from injuries, manage chronic pain, and enhance rehabilitation efforts. Some SEAL teams and other special operations forces have integrated cutting-edge therapeutic technologies, including FSM, as part of their performance and recovery protocols.”

Another unique benefit of FSM is the ability to remove scar tissue. Often after healing and significant deposition of scar tissue, the patient continues to have limitations in their range of motion and because of attachments by scar tissue, to tissues that are normally separated. These adhesions often cause pain and limitations of a patient’s range of motion. The normal treatment of this condition in medicine is surgery, which, by its nature can leave additional scar tissue. After a few FSM treatments the restoration of movement can be dramatic.

Lastly, FSM can be very effective is in the recovery from concussions. Often the headache from a concussion can be eliminated in the first treatment. It can quickly aid in the healing of small blood vessels in the brain and restore the integrity of the blood brain barrier, so essential to the long term health of the brain.
